Successful Event

A big thank you to everyone who helped with the Choral Extravaganza on Sunday. APASU, POP, SASS, the 8 choirs, the UO Women's Center, the Tiko drummers, the Bishop and the many others who made the 20th CE very successful. We had around 350 people come and $4500 donated. It was a lovely, inspiring evening and it was possible because of all of you. Pictures are on their way.

CROP Walk

The CROP Walk was this last Sunday and was a great success. A group from the Wesley Center joined about 200 people from variety area groups walked one to three miles. There were sign posted around the trail with facts about the hunger problems abroad and locally in Lane County. The idea was that in some countries a person would walk three miles to gather the water for the day. That is the wash water the cooking water and then he drinking water. In Lane County 10 thousand children live under the poverty line and in risk of going hungry. We were proud to support this venture to educate and raise money to fight hunger.
